Design Brief.
Since 2004, FutureTogether has designed, manufactured, and distributed innovative visual merchandising solutions for Neiman Marcus—solutions that dramatically transformed windows and displays into engaging fashion stories.
Outcome.
We strategized concept development, domestic material sourcing, presentation renderings, photography, graphic design, and other complex manufacturing solutions on an ongoing basis for Neiman Marcus—efforts that are frequently delivered against tight deadlines.
Social Impact.
By encouraging that products be manufactured domestically, we played an active role in supporting the local economy while helping the Neiman Marcus team to build an acute understanding of how to respond to the needs of what is now a conventionally off-shored industry. The manufacturers, materials, and processes we used were selected for their reduced environmental impact and their positive contributions to the communities where they operate.
Environmental Impact.
Our merchandising solutions focused on easily recyclable, domestically manufactured products, and materials. Our designs maximized visual impact and when possible, were developed to be a part of windows and displays for various seasons.
“Working with the FutureTogether team helped us generate ideas and outstanding design solutions that are sustainable and have more than one life.”

Prioritizing Partnership.
Our ongoing collaboration with the Neiman Marcus creative team has produced numerous designs that are the perfect marriage of materials, processes, and fashion. Working closely with the Neiman Marcus visual merchandising team to translate their ideas into manufactured realities is integral to the success of this endeavor. The project’s range, both visual and material considered, is complex—so collaboratively brainstorming innovative ways to cater to the needs of specific seasonal campaigns and retail programs throughout the year has been critical.
Creative Constraints.
Designing fixtures and displays for over thirty stores with varying footprints, layouts, and merchandising requirements means each project must be created for flexibility. The use of modularity, low-impact material selection, domestic and responsible sourcing, design for reuse, easy assembly, and efficient shipping all play considerable roles in our design process.
